Vegan ‘Bar Theatre’ Spot to Open in Atlanta
Over the past few years, Atlanta-based Slutty Vegan has become a veritable phenomenon, with celebrities like Tyler Perry, Snoop Dogg and Tiffany Haddish showing their faces at the wildly popular plant-based burger chain.
Launched in 2018 as a delivery-only option, the brand quickly gained a loyal following. Owner Pinky Cole went on to open three storefronts in Georgia with a fourth in the works in Alabama.
Now, Cole is in the process of opening a totally new concept: Bar Vegan. According to a press release the locale will specialize in “bar theatre.” The menu at the new spot will feature tableside-made “experience cocktails” like the Foreign Fruit Punch which will be served in an ΜActive Smokey Volcano; other cocktails may come in a fire extinguisher, gas can, ferris wheel or bank safe, complete with music.
Bar Vegan is slated to open in February on the Second Floor of Ponce City MarketΒ·s Central Food Hall in Atlanta.
Food options will include sandwiches, salads, egg rolls, cauliflower wings, mushroom cheesesteaks, sweet potato tater tots and more, plus spins on Slutty Vegan favorites.
ΜToday’s culture is exploring the truth, and the truth that we’re walking into is that, as a community, we are beginning to eat healthier and focus more on the things we put into our bodies,” says Cole. “Bar Vegan’s aim is to create an enjoyable experience for those who want to eat well and enjoy a bit of fun and flare, while still maintaining the vegan lifestyle.”
