Tofurky Releases New Slow-Roasted Chick’n in Five Flavors
Tofurky, everyone’s go-to moniker for faux meat, is releasing a brand new product with a different profile than their usual fare: Slow Roasted Chick’n.
The non-GMO, Tofurky chick’n strips come in five flavors: lightly seasoned, sesame garlic, Thai basil, tandoori and BBQ, so there are plenty of options for meatless eaters.
The company announced via blog that it would be sampling the new products at this weekend’s Expo West in Anaheim. So far, reviews are good. Seen on Twitter:

As far as when consumers can get their hands on the goodies, the Tofurky chick’n is only available at New Seasons Markets (in Oregon) for now, but will soon be rolling out to retailers nationwide. Tofurky is telling customers to start asking grocers for it starting this spring.
While the parent company, Turtle Island Foods, has been around since 1980, it’s a family-owned organization that’s all about innovation. In recent years the team has launched a whole host of new products including Tofurky Pockets, Tofurky Pizza and even Tofurky Quiche.
Oh, and if you’re wondering how the Tofurky chick’n tastes, Vegan Outreach posted a recent product review, so you can get the skinny on their palate-pleasing factor.
