PETA to Buy Groceries for 10 Single Memphis Moms Who Pledge to Go Vegan

mothersdaybb-602x199This Mother’s Day, PETA wants people to think about non-human moms, too. To help child-bearers of all species, the animal advocacy org is launching a contest to award 10 single Memphis moms a kitchenful of groceries—if they pledge to go vegan for 30 days.

As PETA says in its announcement: “All moms—including chickens, mice, cows, and rhinos—have the same capacity for fear, happiness, devotion, and love.”

The contest, which is part of a billboard campaign, will help human and non-human mothers alike, saving the lives of animals and helping 10 lucky families on the road to health and wellness.

People who’d like to participate should mail a family picture and their pledge to go vegan for one month (plus a phone number) to:

PETA, Attn.: Mother’s Day
501 Front St.
Norfolk, VA 23510

Entries are due by Monday, May 18, so get to pledging.
