Miami Summit Wants to Solve Your Vegan Boyfriend Blues

Via VeganFatKid on Instagram

The lack of eligible bachelors is a common complaint in the vegan world. Stats suggests 79 percent of vegans are women, so it’s easy to say there just aren’t enough meatless men. So what’s a girl (or boy) in search of a compassionate companion to do?

Well, Seed Food and Wine Festival is addressing this issue at its upcoming Seed Summit. The two-day event, running from November 3rd to 4th in Miami Beach, is designed for plant-based content creators, and it’s featuring a “How to Find a Vegan Boyfriend” panel — starring some notable dudes from the vegan world.

The special panel will be hosted by chef and author Jason Wrobel, athlete and businessman Dominick Thompson, and Instagram all-star Vegan Fat Kid.

“It can be hard to meet a vegan guy, so we’re looking to address that need,” Seed co-founder Alison Burgos tells Latest Vegan News. It’s also about learning that maybe your partner doesn’t have to be vegan — maybe you have the opportunity to help him transition.”

It’s likely that this is the first actual educational session surrounding this popular topic, so chances are it’ll be well-attended.

Vegan boyfriends 101 is just one of the sessions happening at Seed Summit. The two-day blogger’s conference will feature 20 workshops and panels with veg celebs like Rip Esselstyn, Rich Roll, Marco Borges, John Salley, Jackie Sobon, Mary Mattern and lots of others.

The lineup will cover topics like food styling, photography, social media strategy, crowdfunding, how to get a book published, and much more. It’ll also include plant-based meals and social sessions for mixing and mingling with other influencers.

(Plus, attendees will get a ticket to Seed Food & Wine Festival’s November 5th Tasting Village, a veritable smorgasbord of vegan food, wine, spirits and other sexy stuff.)

Seed Summit runs from November 3rd to 4th at the Nobu Hotel at Eden Roc, 4525 Collins Ave, Miami Beach. Tickets are $250 each and can be purchased online.
