Despite the fact that they’re delivered by a large bunny in a bow tie, Easter baskets aren’t usually animal-friendly. Most of the season’s popular treats—Peeps, Cadbury Cream Eggs, chocolate bunnies—are chock full of dairy and eggs.
But thanks to Vegan Treats of Bethlehem, PA, even vegans can dig into a (cruelty-free!) candy cornucopia come Sunday, April 5. The bakery’s famous Ultimate Lucky Bunny vegan Easter basket is back, and it has brand new goodies for 2015.
“We have offered the Lucky Bunny basket in previous years, and by popular demand, we are offering it again,” says Lauren Koch, the Wholesale Accounts Manager with Vegan Treats.
“This year we have added a few new items including our very own betterfinger bars, a small box of two speculoos filled chocolate bunnies with white chocolate cotton tails, and a bag of passion fruit Madagascar vanilla filled Swiss chocolates.”
In addition to the new items, the vegan Easter basket (which isn’t actually a basket, just the contents) includes:
The Ultimate Lucky Bunny basket runs $64.95. There’s also a gluten-free version for $68.95, and a regular Lucky Bunny basket with a somewhat smaller assortment that runs $44.95. You can order them online, or, if local to Bethlehem, stop by the store. Better order fast, though. Easter is approaching, and who wouldn’t want one of these Willy Wonka-esque candy dreams come true?

I would like to order your ultimate gluten free bunny basket. Although I live in Sarasota Florida. Would it be possible to order a Basket to be mailed for Easter?
Hi Conrado! It's actually Vegan Treats that you want to reach out to. We don't sell the basket -- we just wrote about it. :) Here's the link to the company that sells them: http://vegantreats.com/shop/easter/the-ultimate-lucky-bunny/.
Is the basket included?
