Every year, foodies from across the country (and beyond) converge on Orlando, Florida, for the famous Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. The park’s 11 nations offer different culinary creations, so visitors can eat their way around the world.
The annual event is becoming increasingly veg-friendly, with multiple vegetarian and vegan options available this year.
Vegetarian selections are labeled as such (as are gluten-free items), and there are a whole host of options, from Ravioli alla Caprese in Italy to Soufflé de Yuca in the Dominican Republic. Most of the desserts are also vegetarian, a Disney spokesperson told Latest Vegan News.
For vegans, there’s the Vegan Moussaka in Greece, the Vegan BBQ with Steamed Rice and Cucumber Kimchi in Korea, and Disney’s famous Dole Whip in the refreshment port, all of which are 100% plant-based. A spokesperson told Latest Vegan News that the moussaka was “a big hit this year.”
The Epcot Food and Wine Fest ends on Monday (November 16) so there’s still time to sneak in a quick weekend trip if you’re in the area!
